Kickers
Kickers were founded in France in 1968. They were created for the ‘Blue Jean’ generation. The creator Jaques Chevallereau created the first ‘Jean Boot’ and this was very different from anything done before. With the use of nubuck, and shaped more like boots than regular shoes, tough crepe soles made with natural rubber, eyelets, contrast stitching and different panels, all of which resembled jeans. The success of this style was such that within one season, production went from 300 to 1200 per month. It went on to be sold in 70 countries.
Kickers hit England in the late 80’s and early 90’s and became highly successful. Many children collected the flower shaped tags that come with Kickers shoes.
Kickers are still loved today, a timeless classic. With classic designs and some new fun styles too, Kickers are the hard wearing, always adored shoe.
